About Jeanette
Helping you find your way through — with warmth, skill, and no judgement
Hello, I'm Jeanette
I'm an integrative therapist and EMDR Europe Accredited Clinical Supervisor/Consultant based in Glossop, Derbyshire. I specialise in helping Transitional Age Youth (TAY) and Adult work through trauma, anxiety, and life's more difficult chapters — in a space that feels safe, unhurried, and genuinely supportive.
I became a therapist because I believe people are far more capable of healing than they often realise. My role is simply to walk alongside you — with curiosity, care, and the right tools — while you find your own way forward.
"You don't have to have it all figured out before you reach out. That's exactly what therapy is for."
Training & qualifications
Qualified, accredited, and committed to your care
I hold a postgraduate qualification in integrative counselling and psychotherapy, and am trained to an advanced level in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited Member and an EMDR Europe Accredited Clinical Supervisor/Consultant — meaning I meet rigorous professional standards for training, experience, and ongoing development.

My approach
Tailored to you — not a template
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches — including EMDR, person-centred therapy, psychodynamic thinking, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and somatic awareness — and I adapt what I offer to what will actually help you. There's no script, no one-size-fits-all method.
Whether this is your first time in therapy or you're returning after a break, my aim is the same: to offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard. We go at your pace, and I'll always follow your lead.
What matters to me
Warmth
I aim to create a space that feels genuinely safe and welcoming — not clinical or detached.
Collaboration
Therapy works best as a partnership. I'll always be guided by your goals and what feels right for you.
Integrity
I work within the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework and am committed to ongoing supervision and professional development.
Curiosity
I bring genuine interest and openness to every person I work with — no assumptions, no judgement.
Ready to take the first step?
Reaching out is often the hardest part. If you'd like to find out more or have a no-obligation conversation about whether we might be a good fit, I'd love to hear from you.
